Space and Missile Systems Center Space Acquisition Challenge

Space and Missile Systems Center, United States Air Force

Test your problem solving skills by building a ground support system for Air Force space operations.

Students will learn how the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) manages complex space systems by taking on the role as a contractor tasked to develop a ground support system for the Air Force.

Students will use their problem solving skills to build a prototype under cost, schedule, and technical constraints.

They will learn about challenges faced by program managers, engineers, financial managers, and contracting officers as they plan and manage complex space systems and the importance of balancing cost, schedule, and system performance parameters.
