Design and make your own bird

Friends of the Junior Arts Center

Experience the power and wonder when creativity and scientific knowledge merge.

Participants will learn about the specific characteristics, extraordinary attributes and diversity of birds throughout the world. Students will then design and construct their own unique bird based on science, rudimentary visual arts concepts like symmetry and their own inspired imagination.

This colorful project provides experiences for young people that embody the interconnectedness of creativity in science and art.

It also promotes understanding of environmental awareness in the midst of global warming. Educational and fun!
