Apply to visit YoMo Barcelona with your school group.
Over four days, students can experience over 100 immersive activities that demonstrate the exciting career opportunities available in the STEAM sectors.
YoMo will take place at La Farga l’Hospitalet in Barcelona between February 25 and 28, 2020. It’s free to attend for school groups with students between 6 and 16 years old.
Schools wanting to visit YoMo must apply for a place. This helps us to confirm that YoMo will be suitable for your students, and to match your group with an appropriate visit time.
Once your application is approved, we’ll invite you to register for one of the days of the festival.
All schools who have applied or registered for the STEM School Label will receive guaranteed access to YoMo 2020.
The STEM School Label allows schools to evaluate their STEM strategy and activities. This self-assessment tool identifies areas of development of the schools and provides training as well as resources for applicant schools to improve their STEM activities. Find out more.
If your school begins the STEM School Label registration process before October 23, you will still receive guaranteed access to YoMo. In that case, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your lead booker is the person we will contact during the registration process and when planning your visit. He/she will be responsible for coordinating your visit, and for ensuring that all accompanying adults complete our separate registration process.
Please ensure you appoint a lead booker who will be available up until the event because it will be difficult to change this contact person throughout the process.
We will use these numbers to allocate spaces, so please try to estimate your student numbers as accurately as possible. Both the age group and gender breakdown will be used during the selection process, so it’s important to get them right.
Please avoid over-estimating your student numbers. If the number of students who visit is substantially lower than those you have reserved spaces for, it will mean that other schools have missed out on the opportunity of visiting.
The activities at YoMo are designed for students between 8 and 16 years old, and it is expected that older children will receive limited educational benefit from attending. While you are welcome to apply, we will be prioritising school groups with students between 8 and 16 years old.
Teachers who are interested in visiting our teacher program in the evening can register their interest on our website.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, schools will be invited to attend a morning (09:00 – 12:30) or afternoon (13:00 – 16:30) session. Schools that are open to visiting during the afternoon session will greatly increase their chance of selection.
Be among the first to know when visitor registration opens, or find out more about participating as an activity provider or sponsor.
