Discover the characteristics of ductile proteins through a multi-sensorial experience

"Molecular plasticity" is an interactive large-format show on molecular biology that highlights that being different is not necessarily a disadvantage. This activity mixes science, electronic music, dancing, audio-visual projections, light and motion sensors in a multi-sensory experience to explain the story of ductile proteins. These proteins were initially discarded as "different" and nowadays are becoming very popular in the scientific community for its versatility and great potential.

Participants will discover the transcendence of these proteins, their development processes, their adaptation and evolution in organisms and the processes involved in diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer or Parkinson. This performance is based on the investigation of Inmaculada Yruela, researcher of the Computational and Structural Biology Group of the Experimental Station of Aula Dei (CSIC) in cooperation with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

We invite you to join us in this immersive and participative experience, in which we will build together a story about the functioning of ductile proteins and how this knowledge can help us to face bullying.
